Man looks to win hearts, minds for transfer station. SALEM — Robert George is not a politician, but he has a constituency he is trying to win over. On Saturday mornings from May to Thanksgiving, he campaigns at the transfer station on Swampscott Road to promote his company's vision for the site. The literature he hands out, including a bumper sticker, urges people to call or email their city councilor on behalf of Northside Carting.
